Band 7 Paramedic Working in Urgent Treatment Centre
A Band 7 Paramedic working in an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) , expected to have a range of responsibilities, including:
Providing initial triage, clinical assessment, diagnosis, management, and referral of patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes nurses, paramedics, EDAs, and GPs, ensuring clinical excellence and reducing emergency room admissions.
Demonstrating clinical expertise in initial patient contact assessment to signpost, treat, or refer patients appropriately.
Providing professional and clinical leadership within the team developing and implementing strategic development plans.
Managing and supervising the multi-disciplinary team and ensuring correct inter-departmental pathways are escalated.
Collaborating with clinical site managers to ensure the correct pathways are escalated and managing general inquiries, staffing issues, complaints, and support junior staff as required.
Assisting with the development of clinical services as needed and providing support to ambulance crews when required.
Maintaining patient records in line with standards and Trust policies, using the electronic patient records system.
Participating in audits and sharing knowledge with other healthcare professionals to improve service delivery and clinical practice.
Collecting data and providing service information to the Service Manager as required.
Contributing to the development and establishment of systems to gather feedback from patients.
Ensuring high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of the Urgent Treatment Centre.
