Working as an ACP in a fast paced Minor Injuries Unit
JOB PURPOSE
· To act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice and
knowledge whilst participating in direct evidenced based patient care. You will be part of a multidisciplinary
team providing professional and clinical support in the care of patients.
· To undertake autonomous health assessments; diagnosing, treating and discharging
patients within own competence.
· The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) will provide expert care and treatment to patients
within agreed protocols and clinical guidelines. However, the ACP will also have the ability
to make decisions outside these frameworks, where necessary based on best practice.
· Provide support within the team and act as role model and resource, encouraging and
developing a high standard of clinical skill and improving patient outcome.
· Functions in a variety of role dimensions: health care provider, educator, researcher, clinical
advocate and implementer of clinical governance.
· With clinical colleagues lead the development of clinical services within community
services and improve the quality of care delivered

V300 Prescriber must attach certificate EPS training required
Sepsis Certificates Attached
IRMER Certificate Attached
ILS/PILS or Paeds Immediate Life Support
Paediatric experience
Wound closure skills
Competent with X-ray interpretation
Minor injury experience within the last 6 months
Minor Illness Level 7 certificate must provide attached
Advanced level assessment skills must provide certificate
Experienced in Home visiting
Competent to treat primary care patients in base
Palliative Care Experience
Competent at telephone triage
Catheter skills both Male & Female
Confident with management of Syringe Drivers
Happy to Drive yourself
