To provide emergency care for both life-threatening and non-life-threatening conditions in line with FREC4 training.

Main duties and responsibilities Use of the appropriate knowledge and skills to make professional judgements, safely to the appropriate standard, to your level of training.
Provide advanced patient care, including:
- Pulse monitoring where appropriate
- Assessing and managing of patients airways
- Management of an unresponsive patient
- Safe use of an AED during resuscitation
- Administer emergency oxygen where required
Completion of patient forms.
Transport patients to and from treatment centres.
Complete Out of Hours Patient Transport Service journeys.
Deliver extra contractual journeys, long distance and cross boundary journeys, which may sometimes run beyond normal shift times.
Deliver car and courier type journeys.
Drive all approved current and future ambulance vehicles safely and legally, following company standards and road traffic laws.
Plan routes to ensure the quickest and most efficient travel times.
Ensure the welfare and safety of patients during transportation, within your training limits.
Record information accurately using computerised systems or hard copy as required.
Always maintain patient confidentiality.
Communicate and work closely with colleagues, healthcare staff, and medical professionals to provide the highest standard of patient care.
Use communication equipment safely and correctly, following current protocols.
Ensure vehicles are fully equipped, functioning and ready for use at the start of each shift in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain the cleanliness of your assigned vehicle during your shift and perform routine daily checks before use.
Clean and take care of any equipment, vehicles, uniforms, and other items provided following Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.
Maintain a professional attitude and positive public image at all times.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
